Krigelking Confections is a small, family-owned and operated company located in Westminster, Colorado, at the base of the gorgeous Rocky Mountains. Started in 2010, Lisa Engelking and her husband, Larry Kriger, dreamed of manufacturing truffles, chocolates, and other confections the old-fashioned way with high quality ingredients, and lots of love.
The dream started years ago. Both Larry and Lisa were brought up on Hershey and Mars chocolate bars and had toured the fabulous town of Hershey in Pennsylvania. The movies “Willy Wonka” (the original) and “Chocolat” also inspired the couple. During a six week trip to France in 2004, Lisa and Larry began eating their way around the country, sampling chocolate at every tiny street-side shop they could find, and falling in love with the taste of fine French and Belgium chocolate. They also fell in love with the care and hand-made quality of those artisan shops, some of which had held family chocolatiers going back four generations. In 2009, Lisa trained as a chocolatier, attending and graduating from the Ecole de Chocolat, as well as becoming certified in advanced chocolate courses through the Callebaut Chocolate Academy.
All of Krigelking Confections products are made-to-order using traditional artisan hand-dipped, rolled, and single molding techniques without any preservatives. All of our chocolates are created with the highest quality of rich Belgium chocolate. We are proud of our fresh tasting products.
